You should start doing less.
This way, more is actually getting done. Just by doing less.
Let me explain.
Running a business is hard work. You’re responsible for EVERYTHING. Providing a good service, accounting, sales, marketing, and much more.
And dealing with everything? That’s a lot!
It gets unmanageable. Annoying. Stressful. Even enraging at times.
Now, if we’re honest, many people actually LIKE stress. In a way.
If I hated stress, I would simply take a safe and chill government job. Talk useless stuff on endless Zoom calls all day. Play office politics. Pretend I’m a really important part of the company, without getting any meaningful work done. Ever.
Don’t know about you, but to me, it sounds like torture. I want to get things done, and I bet you too.
And if you want to get MORE done… you need to start doing LESS.
You’re most productive when you’re busy, but still in control. You know what I mean. Things are moving fast, a lot is going on… but you can still manage it.
A bit over the edge, and things start to get out of control quickly. Lovely feeling as well.
As soon as you reach that point, you need to check your todo list and find what you can STOP doing.
Maybe you need to focus on one social media platform only and go all in, instead of trying to keep up with all of them?
Maybe you need to focus on the weakest part of your sales, instead of trying to fix it all at once?
Maybe you need to focus on selling the service or product that sells the best, instead of trying to sell everything?
It’s different for every business of course. But everyone needs to STOP doing something.
So start doing less. This way you’ll really nail those FEW most important things.
Yep, it sounds weird, but doing less really works.
